MECC 2025 Student Grant Award

News

Honored to be selected for the prestigious Student Grant Award at MECC 2025 (Modeling, Estimation and Control Conference) organized by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC)!

This recognition was awarded to a select group of students from over 120 global applicants, acknowledging promising research in the field of modeling, estimation, and control.

I will be presenting my paper titled: “RCUKF: Data-Driven Modeling Meets Bayesian Estimation”, which proposes a hybrid framework combining:

  • Reservoir Computing for expressive temporal modeling
  • Kalman-based Bayesian Estimation for principled uncertainty quantification
  • Application to nonlinear state estimation problems

Grateful to:

  • The MECC 2025 committee for this honor
  • My mentors Dr. Wenbin Wan & Dr. Francesco Sorrentino for their support and inspiration
  • My colleagues Kasra Azizi & Amirhossein Nazerian for their collaboration

Looking forward to the exchange of ideas this October in Pittsburgh, PA!
